Former magazine and TV advertising stylist, decorator and Editor of Better Homes and Gardens and owner of Diana Hannes Design has been based in Washington DC since 2005.  In just over twelve years, Diana has developed a significant interior design business focusing on upscale residential as well as unique and distinctive commercial and retail properties in many states of the USA and Australia.

A key to Diana’s success has been the ability to work with a whole range of clients with different requirements and personal styles. Most importantly, Diana believes in merging avant-garde elements of color and style into the end product whether it is a more traditional design or a more modern or even minimalist concept.

As Diana says: “We need to recognize that our clients have to feel comfortable to live in the environment we have created for them. That’s our goal and our real challenge.”

In Commercial and Retail properties, DHD has focused mainly on small-medium size projects that require unique and highly individualized design. Our team has executed some distinctive and ground-breaking designs both for retail stores and small-medium office environments to leverage challenging floor plan spaces and layouts. “ In commercial, you are always dealing with the compromises between great design, efficient use of space and workability.”
